Many benefits come with being classified as a classical language, including more financing for Marathi promotion, the creation of research facilities, and support for programs aimed at maintaining its legacy. Reasons Behind Mahatma Gandhi’s Lifelong Renunciation of Salt

Chandrakant Wankhede in his book “Gandhi Kyon Nahi Marte!” published by Radhakrishna Prakashan offers some fascinating anecdotes about Gandhi’s personal life. Kasturba Gandhi, the wife of Mahatma Gandhi, became ill at one point. The doctor urged her to avoid salt for the sake of her recuperation. Kasturba, on the other hand, refused to listen to the doctor’s instructions, claiming that eating without salt was meaningless. Despite the doctor’s repeated insistence, she was determined. Gandhi attempted to persuade Kasturba, but she became agitated and stated, “It is very easy to say such things to others…” At that point, Gandhi decided to stop taking his food with salt. Kasturba then blamed herself for the situation and apologised, hoping to persuade him to reconsider. Gandhi, on the other hand, stuck to his choice.

According to Hamas media and medical personnel, Israel has killed Abdel-Aziz Salha, a militant for Hamas in the West Bank who was sentenced to life in prison for his involvement in the 2000 lynching of two Israeli reservists in Ramallah. Salha was eventually released from prison in exchange for prisoners. In Deir Al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, Salha was killed earlier on October 3 by an Israeli airstrike on a tent inside Al-Aklouk School, which provided refuge to displaced Palestinians. About Salha’s passing and whether or not he had been intentionally targeted, Israel made no remarks at the moment.

Based on previous performance, the Norwegian Nobel Committee can completely surprise everyone with the announcement on October 11, including choosing not to award the prize at all.
