UP Government Announces 1-year Free Computer Course For SC, ST And OBC Candidates
The age of the candidate at the time of admission should be between 18 to 35 years as of April 1, 2024.

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a free one-year course in computers for the youth belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes. As per the guidelines of the UP government, the students will receive this training at the Regional Service Yojana Office.

As per reports, interested candidates should submit documents and application forms to the Regional Service Office by March 23. Assistant Director of the Regional Service Planning Office, Shashi Bhushan Upadhyay talked more about it. He said that the Education and Guidance Center established under the Regional Service Planning Office has called for applications from SC Castes/Tribes and OBC candidates. The session for the free computer course will start from April 2024.

Shashi Bhushan Upadhyay talked about the courses which will be taught in this computer training programme. He said that students will be taught computer operation, Hindi typing and shorthand, secretarial systems, and general knowledge. The candidates will also be taught general mathematics, Hindi, general English and bookkeeping as well in the training program. Besides these courses, the candidates will also be trained for various competitive exams.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for this training should have passed at least an intermediate examination. They are also required to have studied English subject in high school.

Age Limit

The candidate’s age at the time of admission should be between 18 to 35 years as of April 1, 2024. A relaxation of five years in the upper age limit for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Tribes and Other Backward Classes.

Other Reserved Seats

3 per cent of the total sanctioned posts are reserved for disabled candidates of the above categories.

Additional Skills

Candidates with knowledge of Hindi shorthand, typing and computer will be preferred.

Documents Required

Besides the application form, photocopies of educational qualification, caste certificate and registration card, can be submitted to the Employment Office, Meerut. The documents should also include a self-addressed envelope along with a postal stamp Employment Office’s Room No. 21 and 22. These should be submitted by 3 pm on March 23, 2024.

Post the submission of documents, the interview of Scheduled Caste candidates (Male) will be held on March 27, 2024. The interview of Scheduled Caste candidates (Female) will be held on March 28, 2024. The interview of candidates from Other Backward Class will be conducted on March 30, 2024, at 10.30 am.
