UGC NET 2024 Revised Date Announced, Exams to Be Held from August 21
The UGC NET 2024 admit card will be released by the exam authority following the release of exam city slips

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 revised schedule. Candidates may view the schedule on the UGC NET official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The announcement states that a computer-based test (CBT) of the UGC NET June 2024 would be re-conducted from August 21 to September 4. NTA will shortly release the admit cards for the UGC NET 2024 re-examination. However, the exact time and date of the release has not yet been announced by the authority.

The UGC NET 2024 admit card will be released by the exam authority following the release of exam city slips. According to previous trends the UGC NET admit card will be released 15 days before the scheduled exam date.

UGC NET Exam 2024: How to Download Exam City Slip?

Step 1. Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in, the official website.

Step 2. Select the notification link “UGC NET exam city intimation slip 2024” that appears on the homepage.

Step 3. Enter your birthdate, application number, and security pin.

Step 4. The exam city slip for UGC NET 2024 will show up on the screen.

Step 5. For future use, download and save the UGC NET 2024 Exam City Slip.

The admit cards will contain information such as the exam centre’s name, date, time, and other details. The name of the location of the applicants’ exam centres will also be mentioned on the exam city slip.

The Education Ministry subsequently cancelled the pen-and-paper UGC NET that was scheduled for June 18. On June 19, the board announced its cancellation due to the possibility of a paper leak. It was eventually discovered that two days prior to the test, the question paper had been circulated over the dark web.

On June 18, the UGC NET 2024 was administered by the NTA in two distinct shifts, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 03:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The UGC-NET June 2024 exam was successfully administered to 11,21,225 applicants at 1205 Exam Centres located in 317 locations nationwide.

In June exam, there was an increase in the number of candidates who registered and participated in the UGC NET. Compared to the 9,45,872 registered candidates in December 2023, 11,21,225 candidates had applied for the exam this year out of which 6,35,587 were females, 4,85,579 were males and 59 were third gender candidates. This time, 9,08,580 applicants took the exam, which means approximately 81% of candidates were present whereas in December 2023 73.6% of candidates were present.
