The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reduced the qualifying cut off for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery or NEET MDS 2024. Now the qualifying cut off of NEET MDS 2024 has been reduced by 21.692 percentile for all categories – General, SC, ST, OBC, and UR-PWD.
The cut off for the General and EWS categories has now come down from 50 percentile to 28.308 percentile. Similarly, the cut off for SC, ST, and OBC (including disabled candidates of SC, ST, and OBC) has come down from the 40 percentile to 18.308. Whereas for disabled candidates of the unreserved category, the qualifying cut off has now come down from 45 percentile to 23.308 percentile.
In an official statement issued regarding this, it has been said that after revising the cutoff of NEET MDS 2024, the revised result will be released soon. The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the results of NEET MDS on April 3. Whereas the examination was conducted on March 18.
NEET MDS counseling was held from July 1 to September 14. Whereas, the academic session for PG courses started on August 1. A total of four rounds of counseling were held by the authorities, including the mop-up round and stray vacancy round. The Medical Counseling Committee recently released the final result of NEET MDS Stray Vacancy Round Counseling 2024 in which a total of 15487 students were qualified.
Counselling for 50 per cent state quota seats is done by MCC of DGHS, MoHFW for DU, AMU, BHU, VMMC & SJH, ABVIMS and RML Hospital and ESIC, Basaidarapur. Institutional preference is given to the candidates in a 50 per cent institutional quota. It is to be noted that the MCC of DGHS is only responsible for the allotment of seats, reads the official notice.
