BPGP is Blended Post Graduate Programme, a course offered by IIM-Ahmedabad.

One of the prestigious institutes of our country is the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Ahmedabad, which is known for its MBA programs. Recently, it has grabbed the headlines since Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter and Shweta Bachchan’s daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda enrolled for a BPGP MBA program in the institute. So, what is the BPGP program? BPGP is the Blended Post Graduate Programme, a course offered by IIM-Ahmedabad. It is a two-year course that is designed for working professionals and entrepreneurs. It is a blended program with online sessions and on-campus modules. This means that apart from online sessions, it also offers an offline mode on-campus experience. As per the website of IIM-Ahmedabad, the programme is primarily offered in online synchronous mode, which is suitably complemented by the various on-campus modules.

To secure admission to the BPGP course, one must have three years of full-time work experience. What’s amazing is that working professionals and entrepreneurs can seek admission here. The age of the applicants should not be less than 24 hours. Candidates must have at least a graduation degree/ CA(Chartered Accountant) / Company Secretary (CS)/ Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWA) or equivalent.

BPGP Course Fees

The fee for the BPGP course is Rs 20 lakh. This does not include the cost of travel and accommodation for the campus module. Application fees for those seeking admission through the Common Admission Test (CAT)/ Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) / Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) scores are Rs 2,000 and IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) applicants will have to pay Rs 3000 as application fee.

Admission Process in BPGP Course

To seek admission in this online BPGP MBA course, one must appear in IIM Ahmedabad’s entrance exam. Based on the score, applicants will be invited for an interview. Admission will be granted only if they pass it. One of IIM’s professors took to X to clarify that one may not always need CAT and 99.99 percentile, after someone asked her if Navya Naveli Nanda cleared CAT.

The tweet read, “She got a solid CV btw. You don’t necessarily need a CAT. Irrespective, hats off to everyone for being courageous enough to sign up for a rigorous program. PS: Just like other students, looking forward to her posts cribbing about the hard life at IIMA.”
