Today, let’s take a look at one such success story that will motivate other aspiring candidates. Recently, Kush Motwani secured the 11th rank in the UPSC CSE 2023 exam.

According to reports, Kush Motwani is from Navi Mumbai. He has created history by securing the 11th rank in the UPSC CSE examination 2023. He completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, Nerul, with top marks. After this, Kush obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Communication and Signal Tracking from IIT Bombay.

After post-graduation, he also worked at the Xerox Research Center in India for over 2.5 years. There, he was also a member of the machine learning and optimisation team.

Kush Motwani’s father is also an electrical engineer. His father worked for Reliance Communications as well as Indian Telecommunication Services. His mother is a homemaker.

In an interview, Motwani shared that his inspiration for pursuing a degree in electrical engineering comes from his background, especially his father. Moreover, the support he received from his family in his journey to becoming an IAS resulted in his success in cracking the UPSC CSE 2023 exam.

This was his second attempt, and he got the 11th rank in UPSC 2023. He first tried for the UPSC CSE but did not get the rank, as per his wish. So he attempted again in this Civil Services Examination and secured All India Rank 11.

His preparation strategy for UPSC was straightforward yet effective, and he has a solid mathematical background from IIT Bombay. He concentrated on clarity of thought and consistent practice. Instead of wasting his time on other distractions, he devoted specific hours every day to solving various mathematical problems and made sure to understand every concept thoroughly for better preparation.
