The recruitment is being done for the position of Jailor Group-I (Male), Class-II. Interested candidates have to apply at gpsc.gujarat.gov.in, the official website of GPSC. It is being done for a total of 7 vacancies for the post. The applications started on July 8.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age-
The candidates should not be over the age of 35, as per the given instructions.
Educational Qualification-
The candidates interested in applying should have a bachelor’s degree from an institution included under the Central or State Act in India. Furthermore, the candidate must have a minimum standard of physique, according to the specifications of Appendix A. They must be knowledgeable on the basics of computer application, as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967. According to the notification, they should be knowledgeable in the languages of Gujarati and Hindi.

For Economically Weaker Section, unreserved categories in Gujarat, ex-servicemen and disabled- No fee
Salary structure:
The salary will range between Rs 44,900 and Rs 1,42,400 (Level 8)
The candidates are required to submit an online application on or before the date of July 22. If a candidate fails to do so by the mentioned date, their application will be rejected.
According to the official notification of the recruitment, the selection of the candidates will be based on a preliminary test and interview. The candidates must clear both stages to get a chance at the job.
