Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), which is part of the Ministry of Labour and Employment in the Government of India, has released a notification for recruitment for Faculty, Specialists, Senior Residents, and Tutor positions. The employment drive will take place through walk-in interviews. ESIC plans to fill the 146 positions through this campaign. The notification has been posted online, and eligible candidates can apply on the official website, esic.gov.in.

According to the ESIC notice, the interviews will take place between January 29 and February 8, 2024. Candidates are urged to thoroughly read the recruitment notification before attending the interview to determine their eligibility for the position. Candidates should report between 9 and 10.30 a.m. on the day of the walk-in interview. The interview will take place at the Academic Block of ESIC Medical College in Sanathnagar, Hyderabad.

Candidates who want to apply for the vacancies can check the educational qualifications and age limit on the official website. For the post of Faculty, Senior Resident and tutor, the candidates will be assessed based on the teachers eligibility qualifications in Medical Institutions. However, for the positions of Super Specialist and Specialist, the candidate needs to have an MBBS degree.

The application cost is Rs 500 across all categories. SC/ST/Female candidates, e-servicemen, and PH candidates are excluded from paying fees. The fee needs to be paid online to ensure a successful application. The selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview before the Selection Board. Selected candidates will have to join after receiving the offer of appointment.

Meanwhile, the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) gained 15.92 lakh new members in November 2023, according to preliminary payroll statistics. In November, about 20,830 new establishments were registered and brought within the ESIC social security umbrella, assuring increased coverage, according to a statement from the labour ministry. As per the report, more jobs were created for young people during the month, with 7.47 lakh, or 47%, of the total registrations, being under the age of 25. Furthermore, female members’ net enrollment was 3.17 lakh in November 2023 and 58 transgender employees were enrolled under the ESIC Scheme.
