Team India put on a show for all to witness with the bat today, as they blitzed their way to 285 runs in just a mere 34.4 overs, breaking a plethora of run-scoring record en route to the same.

But, their brilliance wasn’t the only aspect on display as Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli shared a heartwarming light moment of sportsmanship and fun, as the dup hugged it out after what could have been an expensive mistake from Pant.

The incident occurred in the 19th over of India’s innings when Kohli looked to drive Khaled Ahmed’s length delivery but chopped it off a thick under-edge next to the pitch, calling Pant for a single, as the wicketkeeper-batter came in with a half-hearted halt to his running in the middle of the pitch.

Trying to steal a quick single and now on his way back to the batter’s crease again, the former India skipper was halfway down the pitch when the bowler grabbed the ball. While Kohli remained stranded and had given up, Khaled attempted to hit the stumps with an underarm throw but missed the target.

The ace Indian batter had a sigh of relief and wore a sheepish smile on his face, as Pant who was at fault partly for denying the run, also walked torwards the talisman batter with a sly smile of his own, to hug it out with his teammate and to put the miscommunication behind them, as the carried onwards.

The moment caught the attention of fans all over, who praised and adored the duo for their camaraderie and their respect for each other to forgive the other and keep moving on.

India would keep the onslaught going indeed, as the likes of Kohli and KL Rahul clobber the Bangladesh bowlign ranks at will, and eventually added 87 runs together before Kohli departed.

Rahul would go on to notch a fiery fifty of his own, and Akash Deep would clobber a couple of sixes himself to power India to 285/9 in just 34.4 overs, after which India chose to declare with a slender 52-run lead.
