Suryakumar Yadav Spotted Wearing Pneumatic Walking Boot After Picking Up Ankle Injury During T20I Series Against SA - WATCH
India's star batter, Suryakumar Yadav was seen wearing a pneumatic walking boot during his time-off from the injury he picked up during the final T20I against South Africa.

The Indian camp will be concerned after their star batter, Suryakumar Yadav picked up an injury while fielding in the third T20I series against South Africa at the St George’s Oval in Port Elizabeth. Suryakumar who was appointed as the captain for India in the series in an interim role. However, he continued to impress with the bat especially with a crucial century against the Proteas in the final T20I.

During the second innings, while the skipper was fielding, he managed to twist his ankle early in the innings and was swiftly taken out of the track to receive some medical attention from the physios. However, the skipper did not end up coming back on the field.

To add to the concerns, the batter is also expected to miss the T20I series against Afghanistan at home which would be the final T20 international series before the Indian Premier League and the T20 World Cup 2024 which is jointly hosted by the West Indies and the United States of America.

During his time off the ground, the star T20 batter was seen spending some time off with his wife Devisha Shetty in the United Kingdom. His wife had posted a photo on her Instagram story where it was revealed that the batter was seen wearing a pneumatic walking boot.

Fans will hope that the batter will make a swift recovery and make a strong return to the IPL and then to the Indian team ahead of the T20 World Cup. His importance in the Indian batting unit is unmatched and is the number-one ranked batter in the format for a reason his loss would be a big blow to the Indian side ahead of the marquee tournament.

For now, the Indian side will focus on the red-ball format as they are set to take on South Africa in a two-match Test series as part of the current World Test Championship cycle. The first match will be a Boxing Day Test which takes place at SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium at Centurion.
