'Still On Another Island': 'Drug Lord' Ravi Shastri Waiting for His Luggage to Arrive in Antigua

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri is currently hopping from one Caribbean island to another. Since he is a part of the T20 World Cup 2024 commentary team, he has been travelling across the USA and the West Indies for the past few weeks. His next stop is Antigua where Team India plays its second Super 8 fixture against Bangladesh on Saturday. While Shastri has arrived on the island, his luggage is still on another.

Shastri took to microblogging site X on Friday to share a photo in which he could be seen enjoying his breakfast in a ‘drug lord’ get-up but still thinking about his luggage which hasn’t arrived from Barbados.

“Feeling like a drug lord at breakfast in this outfit here in beautiful Antigua, even though my luggage is still on another island. Can’t wait for it to arrive soon! #AntiguaVibes #TravelAdventures #BreakfastViews,” the caption of Shastri’s post read.

Shastri was on commentary duties when India took on Afghanistan in Barbados on Wednesday, where he stole the show with his green-coloured hat. While calling the game alongside Dinesh Karthik, the former India head coach revealed that he got it made from a person named Stephen, who handcrafts hats on the West Coast beach of Barbados.

“He pitched yesterday and said ‘I will make one for you man’. And he did it literally in five minutes. That’s a skill,” Shastri told Dinesh Karthik in the commentary box.
