Mumbai’s woes began right from the outset, with Trent Boult striking early to dismiss Rohit Sharma in the very first over.

The onslaught continued as Sandeep Sharma, entrusted with the new ball, swiftly claimed two more crucial wickets, thrusting Rajasthan ahead in the game.

Joining the onslaught, Yuzvendra Chahal reached a significant milestone, scalping the wicket of Mohammad Nabi to notch up his 200th dismissal in the IPL, solidifying his position as the highest wicket-taker in the tournament’s history.

However, amidst the adversity, Mumbai fought back valiantly, forging a resilient partnership that briefly tilted the momentum in their favour. Yet, it was Trent Boult who returned to the attack in the 17th over and delivered the much-needed breakthrough for his 250th wicket in T20 cricket.
