India’s T20 World Cup winner Mohammed Siraj ecstatically celebrated Cristiano Ronaldo’s spot-kick goal against Slovenia in Euro 2024. After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian pacer tuned in to watch Portugal’s Round of 16 game against Slovenia in the European Championship.

After going goalless at extra time, Ronaldo led Portugal’s penalty shootout by slotting a goal past Jan Oblak. The accurate finish from the Portuguese talisman resulted in a loud cheer from Siraj. He performed Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siu’ celebration while saying, “Come on…yes boy!” The hilarious yet passionate video of Siraj’s celebration was shared in a now-expired Instagram story of Suryakumar Yadav.

Fans could not help but react to Siraj’s love for Ronaldo. One of them highlighted that both Siraj and Suryakumar were two big supporters of the Portuguese star. “Surya and Siraj are biggest fans of Ronaldo,” he wrote.

Another fan jokingly highlighted how Siraj had to wait 120 minutes for his celebration. “Bro waited 120 mins for this,” read the response.

As for Ronaldo, the all-time leading goalscorer had far from a memorable game against Slovenia. The Al-Nassr star missed a crucial penalty, early in the Round of 16 fixture. Ronaldo stepped up during the shootout to send an absolute rocket past Slovenian goalkeeper Oblak. His netting spearheaded Portugal to a 3-0 victory over Slovenia on penalties. The Portuguese side is now set to face France in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024. The quarterfinal between Portugal and France is scheduled to be played on Saturday, July 6 at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany.
