'Mayank Yadav Has Just Turned Vegetarian': Young IPL 2024 Sensation's Mother Makes Big Revelation
Mayank Yadav has been a vegetarian over the last two years, revealed his mother.

Young speedster Mayank Yadav has undoubtedly added significant strength to the bowling unit of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 21-year-old has raised eyebrows by clocking 150 kmph in his first two appearances in the tournament. Mayank made a roaring debut against Punjab Kings and wrapped up the game as the best bowler for LSG by registering a three-wicket haul. He replicated the performance in the following game against Sunrisers Hyderabad to win the second-consecutive Player of the Match award. Now, Mayank’s mother Mamta Yadav has revealed the secret behind his raw pace.

During a recent interaction with Aaj Tak, Mamta Yadav shed light on the dietary habits of her son, who has been a vegetarian over the last two years. According to her mother, Mayank Yadav used to eat non-veg food but later chose to change his diet chart.

“Mayank has just turned vegetarian. Earlier, he used to eat non-veg food. He has been eating vegetarian food for the last 2 years. Whatever he has been asking us to make, based on his diet chart, we would make for him. He wouldn’t eat anything special, dal, roti, rice, milk, veggies, etc,” she said, as quoted by NDTV.

Mamta Yadav, however, was not aware of the actual reason. She assumed that Mayank had quit non-vegetarian food for his belief in Lord Krishna or perhaps, it was not suiting his body anymore.

“Mayank told us about two reasons. First, he started to believe in Lord Krishna, which could be one of the reasons too. We didn’t force him to reveal why he quit non-veg food. He said whatever I was doing, was good for his game and his body,” Mayank’s mother recalled.

Mamta Yadav further expressed her desire to see Mayank represent the Indian cricket team in the coming future. Considering his form in this IPL, the Mayank has certainly grabbed the attention of the selectors. Mayank has already picked six wickets in his two appearances in the tournament. He scripted history by unleashing a 156.7 kmph scorcher in the game against RCB. Mayank was able to breach the 155-kmph mark in his debut game as well.
