With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announcing their retirement from T20I cricket, young Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to get an important role in the team. Jaiswal was part of India’s victorious T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
The southpaw did not get a chance in the tournament but his temperament and caliber will certainly make him a mainstay in the T20I team. Following India’s T20 World Cup final victory against South Africa, Jaiswal was found in a jubilant mood in the dressing room.
The youngster even posed with the prized trophy and shared a couple of pictures of him on Instagram. “Can’t explain in words,” read the caption of the post shared by Jaiswal.
The post impressed Indian cricket fans but it was one of Suryakumar Yadav’s comments that seems to have gained the attention of social media users. Reacting to Jaiswal’s post, Surya cheekily commented, “Mat kar SOJA, [Don’t do it, sleep].”
