IPL 2024 SRH vs CSK: Changes Galore as Sunrisers Hyderabad Opt to Bowl vs Chennai Super Kings

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins opted to field first against Ruturaj Gaikwad’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins accepted that it has taken him a few games to wrap his head around the Impact Player rule and added that Mayank Agarwal is unavailable, while T Natarajan is back in the side.

“We’ll bowl first. Looks like a good wicket and should stay the same for the whole match. We’ve got a great squad. Mayank Agarwal is unwell, he’s replaced by Nitish Reddy. Natarajan is back as well. Last time, there were 500 runs scored, this looks like a good wicket as well,” Pat Cummins said after winning the toss.

CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad said that it has been a good start so far as captain, says that it’s nothing new for him to be a captain as far as the format is concerned but obviously is a big challenge to take up. He adds that Moeen Ali, Maheesh Theekshana and Mukesh Chowdhary are playing.

“It’s going pretty well, the group is responding well. Nothing much changes for me, obviously this is a new challenge, but I’m feeling good. Pathirana is slightly ill – three changes for us, Moeen Ali, Theekshana and Mukesh Chowdhary come in. The bowlers are ready to go and so are the youngsters,” Ruturaj Gaikwad said.
