Kolkata Knight Riders’ star finisher Rinku Singh and head coach Chandrakant Pandit were spotted dancing together during a team bonding session on Wednesday. The franchise arranged a fun-filled evening for the players to strengthen their camaraderie before the upcoming season. The team’s official social media account shared a video showcasing Chandrakant and Rinku Singh grooving to the popular Bollywood song Ole Ole by Abhijeet Bhattacharya. Their infectious energy was evident as the rest of the team cheered them on enthusiastically.
They also hugged each other at the end of the video. The caption of the post read, “Dancing with the stars.”

The franchise also organised a star-studded unplugged event, which was also attended by Bollywood singer Usha Uthup. During the event, KKR also unveiled its new jersey. The team garnered positive attention for all the right reasons this time around. Skipper Shreyas Iyer, who missed out on the tournament last year due to injury, will now lead the team. Gautam Gambhir received a warm welcome as he returned to the franchise as a mentor. Having previously led the team to victory twice in 2012 and 2014, Gambhir’s leadership will be invaluable. Head coach Chandrakant Pandit, alongside Gambhir and Iyer, aims to change the team’s fortunes this season.

All eyes will also be on Mitchell Marsh, who was bought by the franchise for a whopping amount of Rs 24 crore at the auction last year. He was looking in sublime form in the warm-up matches, which were held at the Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata. Rinku Singh, who was retained by the franchise, due to his consistent performances will aim to do the same in this season as well.
The Shreyas Iyer-led side will lock horns with SRH in their tournament opener at Eden Gardens on March 23, Saturday.
