'I'm Not Sure, But I'll Go With Batting': Aiden Markram's Hilarious Remark on SRH's Team Identity After Win Over CSK
Even through the tight middle overs, when SRH struggled to find the boundary for almost 6 overs in a row, Markram kept the runs ticking

The conditions may vary, but class remains constant. SRH’s Aiden Markram proved the same as the South African batter played his way to a masterful 50 off 36 balls as he led the Hyderabad side to victory over Chennai Super Kings in Hyderabad on Friday.

Despite Shivam Dube’s spirited charge and Ravindra Jadeja’s best efforts, CSK slumped to a subpar total of just 165 runs, needing a clinical performance with the ball to secure a win.

But, SRH’s fiery batting order would allow them to do anything but the same, as the likes of Abhishek Sharma lit the Hyderabad skies up with sixes galore, notching a fantastic 37-run outing in just 12 balls.

It was then the turn of Travis Head and Markram, who continued to pile on the misery with the bat.

When asked about the plan of attack, Markram stated that it was to stick to the basics and to keep the runs coming in.

“Not too much to be honest, I don’t want to think too much, see ball and hit ball. I think when you get on tricky wickets, you have to still value the batter who is in. On good wickets, you are allowed to play freely and that is where the Impact player rule comes in handy,” exclaimed Markram in a post-match interview.

Even through the tight middle overs, when SRH struggled to find the boundary for almost 6 overs in a row, Markram kept the runs ticking and helped set up the likes of Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klassen to finish off the game with ease and clinch the win.

“Not too bad, not equivalent what it was against Mumbai, as the ball got softer and older, it wasn’t easy, we saw it when we bowled. When we batted, we wanted to attack in the first ten overs and then take it from there,” stated Markram.

SRH’s batting firepower has been on display for the entire cricketing world to see. When asked about the same, as to whether he considers his side a batting or bowling side, Markram sheepishly stated that he prefers to see themselves as a batting side.

“I’m not too sure but I will go with batting,” stated a gleeful Markram with a sheepish smile.
