While Chahal was named in India’s 15-man squad for the showpiece event, Avesh is one of the travelling reserves, along with Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed.
Both Chahal and Avesh were spotted outside the Mumbai airport on Monday night. In a video shared by news agency ANI on microblogging site X, both players could be seen entering the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to board their flight to the US. Meanwhile, Avesh turned his phone towards the paparazzi who found out that the fast bowler was speaking to Rinku over a video call. The latter will travel for the World Cup on Tuesday.
