New Delhi: A senior executive of a leading newspaper group has been examined by the Central Bureau of Investigation recently in connection with intercepted conversations of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia.
The CBI sources said the executive was asked information related to his purported conversations with Radia.
The sources withheld the name of the executive as he is not named as suspect in the preliminary inquiries registered by the agency on the directions of Supreme Court in connection with the intercepted conversations.
Meanwhile, the agency submitted its report to the Supreme Court on Monday on its probe so far in the intercepted telephonic conversations of Radia.
More people who were part of Radia's telephonic conversations will be called for questioning, they said.
A Supreme Court bench headed by Justice GS Singhvi had identified 23 issues which were framed by an apex court- appointed team on the analysis of the tapped conversations of Radia with bureaucrats, politicians, business honchos and journalists.
