The rates of gold on Wednesday, March 10, fell drastically as the cost of one gram of 22-carat gold declined by Rs 25 to stand at Rs 4,343 compared to Rs 4,368 on the previous day. The cost of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold stood at Rs 43,430 after witnessing a fall of Rs 250 from Rs 43,680, according to Good Returns. The price of 24-carat gold also decreased by Rs 250 for 10 grams to stand at Rs 44,430 from the earlier rate of Rs 44, 680 following the same trend. On the contrary to gold prices, silver rates witnessed a marginal increase.
Various states of the country also observed changes in the price of the yellow metal. Here are the details:
Delhi: The rate of 22-carat gold in the national capital stood at Rs 43,800 per 10 grams. While buying 10 grams of 24-carat gold one will have to pay Rs 47,780.
Chennai: For 22-carat gold, the buyer will have to pay Rs 42,040 per 10 grams while for 24-carat gold Rs 45,860.
Kolkata: The rate of the yellow metal in Kolkata stood at Rs 43, 840 for 10 grams while for 24-carat of it is Rs 46,480 per 10 grams.
Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 43,430, while the purchaser of the metal will have to pay Rs 44,430 for 24-carat gold.
International Price of Gold
The rate of gold has decreased in the international market by 0.19 percent to USD 1,713.20 per ounce on Wednesday. Similarly, the performance of the yellow metal in the last 30 days has declined by 5.62 percent which is equivalent to USD 102.00.
Silver prices
Silver prices witnessed a slight gain as the prices rose by Rs 2 to stand at Rs 667 per 10 grams compared to Rs 655 on the previous day.
Silver Rates in Metro Cities
The rate of silver in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata stood at Rs 66,700 for one kilogram as the costs were the same in these cities. Whereas you will have to pay more amount if you want to but the metal in Chennai and Hyderabad that is Rs 71,100 for the same quantity of metal.
