Mahendra Singh Dhoni has sent his fans into a state of frenzy after sharing some valuable relationship advice with them. The former Indian captain has been away from cricket since winning Chennai their fifth IPL trophy earlier this year. His time off the field has seen him interacting with his fans over the last few months. Recently, Dhoni attended a function in Bengaluru where he answered several questions asked by the fans. One of the questions was about relationships and what Dhoni said is now going viral on social media.
The legendary wicketkeeper-batter can be seen addressing a crowd, trying to clear a misconception that people generally have about their girlfriends.
“Yeh mat sochna meri wali alag hai (don’t think that your partner is different from others)”, Dhoni was heard saying during the event.

The most successful captain in Indian cricket, MS Dhoni was always known to prioritise team accolades over individual success. His work ethic helped him build the most successful era in India’s cricketing history winning a treble of ICC trophies from 2007 to 2013. Dhoni bid farewell to international cricket in 2020, retiring from all formats of the sport. Earlier this year, he was spotted at the US Open 2023, before being seen enjoying a game of golf with former United States President Donald Trump, ahead of the G20 summit.
Despite his absence from international cricket, MS Dhoni has continued to be an active part of his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. In the previous edition of the tournament, the former Indian skipper captained CSK to a record-tying fifth IPL trophy against defending champions Gujarat Titans. Dhoni’s contribution in the chase was limited as he was dismissed for a duck but an ever-consistent Ravindra Jadeja took it upon his shoulders to win the game for his team. The veteran all-rounder scored a boundary and a maximum in quick succession to clinch the title for Chennai by five wickets.
