Belgian Malinois dogs from Chikmagalur in Karnataka will now be serving in the Indian Army. These dogs have been handed over to Colonel Dr. Jaivin Singh, Chief of the Intelligence Branch of the Bengaluru branch of the Indian Army. According to reports, these dogs are known for their remarkable abilities. They were gifted to the army by Panchajanya Ayurvedic Hospital in Koppa, a renowned healthcare institution in the state. It is located in the hilly region of Koppa taluk.
The hospital has gained respect not just in Karnataka, but on a global scale. The Chakrapani family, who stays in the nearby village of Kadegadde, has earned acknowledgement for their expertise in Ayurvedic treatment and agricultural practices. In addition to their healthcare expertise, the Chakrapani family has raised both domestic and foreign cows and dogs. The son of Dr. Chakrapani, Dr. Raghavendra, is actively involved in Ayurvedic medicine and agricultural pursuits, such as raising cows and taking care of dogs.
A Belgian patient once received treatment at Dr Raghavendra’s Ayurvedic hospital. He gave him a Belgian dog, specifically a member of the Malinois breed. Dr. Raghavendra provided excellent care to this dog. As a gesture of generosity, three Malinois puppies have been donated to the Indian Army, free of cost. The Chakrapani family has given the army puppies worth Rs 1,20,000.
Sanvi Karanth and Manvi Karanth, two of Dr. Raghavendra’s grandchildren, personally brought three of these renowned Belgian dogs from the Ayurvedic hospital to the Indian Army’s intelligence division.
Dr. Raghavendra actively participates in agricultural and panchakarma medicine, and his goals go beyond running the Ayurvedic hospital in Kadkade. His farm includes several different Gir varieties of cows, as well as native and foreign dogs and a plantation specifically for his agricultural needs.
