Bengaluru woman receives a bizarre request from stranger looking for a rented place in the city. Here's what he said.

Hunting for a rented place in Bengaluru can sometimes feel like chasing divine intervention, thanks to the multitude of quirks that landlords throw your way. It’s like attempting to crack the toughest of exams or surviving the most gruelling job interviews. Open ‘X,’ and you’ll invariably find someone on the hunt for a rented place in Bengaluru. However, only a handful of individuals are fortunate enough to secure one. It’s a city’s renting crisis that pushes people to extraordinary lengths, as exemplified by a man who, unable to navigate this crisis, resorted to making a creepy request to a woman searching for a place. Naturally, she took to social media to share this eyebrow-raising exchange, shedding light on just how far people are willing to stretch the boundaries to secure a place in the city.

An ‘X’ user named Akanksha Mishra shared a screenshot of a message she received from a complete stranger. In the message, the stranger suggested that they join forces to find a place together. Akanksha promptly declined, explaining that she wasn’t comfortable sharing a flat with a male, to which the man simply replied with an ‘Ok.’

Yet, it didn’t take long for his desperation for housing to surface once more as he boldly ventured, “This is not the correct platform to ask. If you’re ok and single, we can share place for life (upon mutual vibe/respect).” Now, was this a bizarre date proposal or the desperate act of a house-hunter on the brink? We may never know!

Nevertheless, the woman involved shared the screenshot with a caption that humorously summed up the situation: “Perks of house-hunting in Bangalore, you get creeps free but not the house. Desperate house-hunters in Bangalore believing in “make them an offer they can’t refuse” too seriously.”
