Unbelievable: Snake Encounter in AC Coach Halts Gorakhpur-Bandra Express Mid-Journey
The unsettling discovery was made when a passenger in seat number 56 of coach B-3 reported spotting the snake, prompting an evacuation of the coach upon the train's arrival at Kanpur Central Station.

A routine train journey turned into a harrowing experience for passengers aboard the Gorakhpur-Bandra Express, as panic ensued when a snake was sighted inside the AC coach. The incident, which occurred on train number 15067 during its journey from Gorakhpur to Mumbai’s Bandra, led to immediate commotion among travelers. The unsettling discovery was made when a passenger in seat number 56 of coach B-3 reported spotting the snake, prompting an evacuation of the coach upon the train’s arrival at Kanpur Central Station, on platform 4. Passengers quickly exited the coach, necessitating the attention of railway authorities stationed at Kanpur Central.

Railway officials swiftly responded by detaching the affected coach from the train for inspection and safety measures. The operation caused an unavoidable delay, with the train remaining stationed for over two hours as officials worked to ensure passenger safety and comfort. Reports indicate that passengers, initially shaken by the incident, waited patiently on the platform for further instructions amidst a lack of clear communication from railway authorities. Ultimately, a decision was made to change the coach, bringing relief to passengers who had endured several hours of anxiety during the journey.

According to passenger Bittu Kumar, who first alerted authorities about the snake’s presence, the reptile was spotted in the upper berth panel when the train was near Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda. Kumar recorded footage of the snake and promptly informed railway control, setting off a chain of responses from railway personnel.

Following a thorough inspection by railway workers and RPF (Railway Protection Force) personnel, no trace of the snake was found in the coach. Subsequently, passengers agreed to continue their journey after the coach change was facilitated upon reaching Kanpur station, where the train was delayed for approximately one and a half hours.
