The Faridabad-Jewar Expressway, which is likely to be completed by June 2025, will link Faridabad in Haryana to the Jewar International Airport in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) started working on the project last June.
This timeline aligns with the opening of the Jewar Airport this year in December. This expressway is expected to enhance transportation networks between the two states and will likely be a key contributor to the economic growth of the entire Faridabad-Jewar corridor.
The six-lane expressway will connect the Noida International Airport in Jewar with Sector 65 in Faridabad. The Faridabad-Jewar Expressway will reportedly pass through villages such as Vallabhnagar, Ampur, and Jhuppa in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. In Haryana, the expressway is expected to connect villages such as Bahpur, Kalan, Mohana, Narhawali and others, as reported by Times Property.
The project is also predicted to fuel an increase in demand for real estate in the nearby municipalities. Apart from that, it may also result in an increase in property values and economic activities upon its completion. The expressway will reduce the 90-kilometre distance between Faridabad and Jewar to just 31 kilometres.
Meanwhile, the construction of an interchange is also underway at Mohana village, in Haryana, and it will link the Kundli Haziabad Palwal (KGP) Expressway with the Jewar Highway.
The distance between this location and Mohana village is around 6.5 kilometres. In addition to that, entry and exit ramps are also being constructed on the Mohana-Baghpur-Falaida Road. The project aims to enhance the public transportation connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
The Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) is preparing for the unveiling of the Jewar Airport soon and it has already brought several agencies on board to complete smooth connectivity through roads, trains, rapid rails and the Expressway.
