Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Takes His 'Most Loyal Friend' On Last Road Trip
Rhodes shared that he was taking his pet dog, Pharaoh, on its final work road trip. According to him, Pharaoh nowadays prefers to relax at home more than going out.

Cody Rhodes is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship title at the upcoming SummerSlam, slated to be held in Cleveland on August 3. The American Nightmare will take on The Bloodline chief Solo Sikoa at the Premium Live Event (PLE), labelled as “The Biggest Party of The Summer”. Ahead of the highly anticipated bout, Rhodes has made a revelation about his most loyal friend, Pharaoh. The dog has been a constant companion for the 39-year-old wrestler. Pharaoh featured in several shows when Rhodes was earlier signed with the All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The canine has also been spotted at a few WWE events.

Rhodes has now decided to limit Pharaoh’s appearance on wrestling shows. In a recent Instagram post, Rhodes shared that he was taking his pet on its final work road trip. According to him, Pharaoh nowadays prefers to relax at home more than going out. Rhodes also shared an adorable selfie with his buddy as both were seen chilling on the sofa.

“Pharaoh is 13 now – still thriving but slowing down a bit. I am taking him on his final work road trip. These days he’s more comfortable keeping eyes on Libby Curls and hard napping at the house. All the treats (for dogs and humans), and all the love. He’s been a constant for me and hands down the most loyal friend. Love ya’ buddy,” Cody Rhodes wrote.

Ahead of his title defence at SummerSlam, Rhodes’ fellow wrestler Matt Hardy has branded him as the “biggest star in the world”. On his ‘The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy’ podcast, the 49-year-old said, “He (Rhodes) is the guy right now that’s the face of the WWE. So many people were upset when he lost at WrestleMania a year ago. And then he had that journey when he went all the way up through to WrestleMania 40,” as quoted by EwrestlingNews.

“He won the Royal Rumble, and he was to be turned away, but then the fans demanded to follow through and do the whole Cody angle, which just shows you how much support he has and how beloved he is,” Matt Hardy added.

Rhodes claimed the Undisputed WWE Championship by defeating Roman Reigns at the WrestleMania 40. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson tried to stop Rhodes from finishing his story at the mega event but failed. Now, Solo Sikoa will be desperate to bring the title back to The Bloodline.
