The government has inaugurated AIIMS hospitals in almost every state of India to provide free treatment to below the poverty line citizens of India. In such a situation, AIIMS Patna is now trending on social media after a senior woman was seen smoking a cigarette while being admitted to the ICU room of the hospital. The video has gone viral now. The netizens have condemned this careless act of the woman in the hospital. Notably, there have been numerous cases in which a fire broke out in the hospitals due to lighting a cigarette.
In the viral video, an elderly woman was seen smoking a beedi while sitting on the hospital bed. The incident is expected to have unfolded at the AIIMS hospital in Patna. The woman was wearing a red shawl. While she was smoking a beedi, nearby people started recording the video and told her that they would complain to the doctors regarding her careless activities inside the hospital. Responding to it, the woman rudely asked them to call the doctor and started smoking beedi aggressively. She later extinguished the cigarette from the edge of the bed. In the video, she was also seen talking about lighting it again in the hospital. The video has been posted by an Instagram user named Manish Ranwa. The video has garnered more than 1.4 million views on Instagram.

After watching the video, netizens called the woman an idiot because of her actions. One of the users pointed out the risks associated with smoking in the hospitals. He wrote, “ Apart from joking, this can cause a fire outbreak, then you will say that there are no facilities in the hospital, how did the fire break out?” in the comment section of the post. Others shared their humorous take on the incident and wrote that the woman is a grandmother of the movie character Kabir Singh who is also famous for his smoking habits.
