Toe Pics And Jar With Spit: ‘Hawk Tuah’ Girl Reveals ‘Disgusting’ Requests She Has Received Since Going Viral

Hailey Welch, aka the “Hawk Tuah” girl, has revealed that she has received some unsettling requests from “fans” after her rise to fame. The 21-year-old got famous after she appeared in a street interview with the content creators Tim & Dee TV. In the clip, Welch was asked about a “move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time.” She graphically answered, “You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang.” The clip quickly went viral, propelling her to fame and leading her to quit her job at a factory in her hometown in Tennessee.

Welch’s newfound fame has also brought some unwanted attention. In a recent appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O radio show, Welch shared that she has been asked for toe pictures by some of her admirers. “I don’t understand it, it’s disgusting,” she said.

Later, appearing on the Plan Bri Uncut podcast, Hailey Welch shared another disturbing request she received from a stranger. According to Welch, Jason Poteete, the owner of Fathead Threads – a clothing store selling “Hawk Tuah” merchandise – was approached by a man willing to pay Welch $600 (approximately Rs 50,000) to spit in a jar and send it to him. “That is revolting. Like, that’s just disgusting, is it not?” she asked.

Hailey Welch had reportedly deleted all her social media accounts six months before her rise to fame. Once she saw her fame rising and spotted many fake accounts impersonating her, she decided to start new accounts on social media. Her Instagram has since gained 1.8 million followers, with her first post on July 2.

Tennessee-based hat company Fathead Threads is selling a line of Hawk Tuah merch ahead of the summer, with Welch getting a portion of sales. As per Rolling Stone, the store owner revealed that they have already sold hats worth $65,000 (approximately 54 lakhs).

According to Rolling Stone, Hailey Welch is set to maximise her popularity. She has signed to the talent management company The Penthouse, which is known for representing stars like Bruce Springsteen and Justin Moore. Today, she has a manager, a publicist, and a videographer. It will be interesting to see how Hailey Welch grows in future.
