A church in Mexico is making headlines for their unusual offer: selling plots of land in heaven. The Iglesia del Final de los Tiempos, known as the Church of the End of Times, claims its pastor received divine approval during a personal meeting with God in 2017. According to the pastor, you can secure land in heaven for $100 (approximately Rs 8,000) per square meter.
The pastor even promises prime locations near God’s palace and a guaranteed spot in heaven. Photos of the holy home in the clouds have been spreading online. Interestingly, the church is also accepting various modes of payment, including PayPal, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard and American Express, along with other flexible payment plans.
A video making rounds on the internet shows a luxurious mansion surrounded by golden rays with a happy family of four. It even mentions that the church has made millions of dollars since 2017 from selling these lands in heaven. However, many viewers missed the fact that this video is actually a satire.
It was originally posted on a Facebook page known for sharing humorous content. Since then, the video has been shared on various social media platforms and it garnered over 1 Lakh views. Sharing the video, the X page wrote, “Please who can loan me 100 buses? I wanna secure my heavenly loan.”

In a previous case, a pastor in the US faced legal issues for claiming that God instructed him to sell cryptocurrency. Prosecutors accused Pastor Eligio Regalado and his wife, Kaitlyn of fraud, claiming the coin was worthless. From June 2022 to April 2023, the couple raised nearly $3.2 million from over 300 investors, despite having no background in cryptocurrency. The couple allegedly used the funds for their lavish lifestyle rather than for any legal investment purposes.
During the investigation, the pastor claimed issues with the cryptocurrency exchange prevented investors from withdrawing their money. However, he remains hopeful that the situation will be resolved soon and that investors will get their funds back. Regalado also stated that he believed God would do a miracle to fix the financial problems and restore the lost investments.
