Taking to the ‘Kolkata’ subreddit, the user shared their unsettling ordeal: “I had a pretty disturbing experience a few months back at Howrah Station. I was at the Mio Amore counter, about to grab some snacks with my friends, for our journey. “I couldn’t believe my eyes at first, but it was definitely a rat, just sitting there. I immediately informed the staff, but they seemed completely nonchalant about it. It felt like they knew it happens on a daily basis and weren’t really bothered,” the OP recounted. “This incident really put me off from buying anything from there. I understand that maintaining hygiene in such busy places can be challenging, but this was just unacceptable,” they added, expressing their disillusionment with the hygiene standards.
