Weddings in India are all about vibrant celebrations and beautiful traditions where families and friends gather to celebrate the union of two souls. Lately, couples have been adding their twists to these traditions, including the way they invite their guests. Customised and fancy wedding invitations have become a trend. One such innovative approach was seen in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam where a couple designed a unique wedding card inspired by Apple’s iPhone.

The viral footage, posted by Laxman Wedding Cards on Instagram, shows a creative wedding invitation designed to look like an iPhone. The invitation features a book-style layout with three pages attached together. The cover page displays a photo of the couple as the background which is similar to an iPhone’s wallpaper, with the wedding date and time shown above it. Inside, one of the pages cleverly mimics a WhatsApp chat, sharing all the necessary details about the wedding events, including reception timings, etc. And for the venue? They have playfully used WhatsApp’s “Send Location” function, revealing the venue location with a unique twist. To top it all off, the back cover of the invitation features a realistic camera illustration with a 3D-like effect making it a true standout piece.

Since being posted online, the clip has racked up over 15 million views and sparked a flurry of reactions in the comment section.

One user commented, “When a designer gets married! I love the idea.”

Another joked, “This card looks more like a Shop Advertisement Pamphlet than a wedding card.”

Meanwhile, someone humorously asked, “Where is ganesh bro’s photo on that ……our home people will not accept with out that.”

Another user chimed in with, “Yeh vala iphone bhi kismat mai nahi (Even this iPhone isn’t in my destiny).”

The streak of appreciation continued with remarks like “Superb… Mind blowing idea” and “Super idea.”

Last year, a Bangladeshi couple’s unique wedding invitation captured the internet’s attention for its quirky and creative concept. This wasn’t just any ordinary card—it was a playful “research paper” that featured sections like Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and References. The invitation, belonging to Sanjana and Imon from Dhaka, cleverly used academic terms to share their wedding details.

The ‘Abstract’ explained the importance of Nikkah, the ‘Introduction’ recounted their love story and the ‘Methodology’ described the wedding plans. This witty and scholarly approach delighted many making it yet another standout example of unique invitations.
