Marathon Runner Reveals How Doorman’s Handwritten Notes Helped Her Grow

In the hustle and bustle of big cities like New York, people hardly have time to do anything for others. However, now a doorman’s selfless gesture of passing small handwritten notes to people who live in his building is winning over the internet. Carleth Keys, a fitness influencer, recently shared a wholesome video in which she invited Bobby, who used to work as a doorman in her New York City building, to her home in Spain. She then surprised Bobby by showing him all the handwritten notes that he had given her over the years. Carleth thanked Bobby for his kind gesture and told him that he helped her stay motivated. Carleth also has an Instagram story highlight that has many of Bobby’s notes.

While sharing this video, she wrote, “Every Friday morning, Bobby from the Lobby greeted me and dozens of other tenants with a warm smile and a handwritten note that he carefully crafted just for us. It was as if he knew exactly what we needed to hear to start our day on a positive note. Those notes became my lifeline, especially during times when I faced running injuries and setbacks.”

She added, “After decades of dedicated service as a doorman and concierge in New York City, Bobby finally decided to retire. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us who had come to rely on his unwavering support and uplifting words. To show our gratitude, my family and I invited Bobby to our home in Spain. As we sat together, surrounded by the notes he had written over the years, Bobby realized just how much of a difference he had made in our lives.”

Expressing her gratitude, she said, “Thank you, Bobby, for your selflessness and for making a difference in the lives of so many people, including mine. Your handwritten notes will forever hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of the power of kindness and the importance of uplifting others when they need it the most.”
