Reacting to the post, a social media user said, "The public transport system is top-notch."

An Indian woman, living in Sweden, shared why she does not complain about paying taxes. In a now-hidden post on X (formerly Twitter), she shared a screenshot of a text she received from Sweden Railways notifying her of a 50% refund since her train’s AC was not functional. Moreover, the Railways also issued an apology for the inconvenience caused.

The text in the screenshot read, “The AC on your train is out of order. You will automatically be compensated for 50% of the ticket price in the form of a voucher that can be used to buy new SJ tickets. You will receive your voucher via email. We apologize for the inconvenience.” The message also directed her to visit a website if she wanted to rebook her journey for free or cancel and claim a full refund. While sharing this screenshot, she wrote, “Why I don’t complain too much about taxes in Sweden.”

The post, since being shared, has garnered over 3 lakh views. People not only praised the Swedish rail authorities for being accountable for their shortcomings, but some also shared their own experiences in the comments section.

An X user commented on this post, “It’s not about the tax you pay its about the quality of life for the tax that you get in return that people mostly complain about.”

Sharing the same sentiment, another person wrote, “Exactly! That accountability factor makes the difference.”

Another person quipped, “IRCTC in a parallel universe.”

Someone else wrote, “My train was delayed in London for 20 minutes, and I got a cheque as compensation sent to me in Australia!”

“The public transport system is top-notch. The trains aren’t late like in Germany,” read another comment.
