‘Don’t Give Up’: IAS Jitin Yadav Shares His Inspirational Journey To Motivate Aspirants
IAS officer Jitin Yadav shared a tweet and urged aspirants to never give up and be proud that they have come so far.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) published the results of the UPSC-CSE exam on Tuesday, April 16. The result announcement brought both happiness and disappointment to aspirants across the country. While successful candidates celebrated their achievement, many aspirants were disheartened as they couldn’t make it to the final list of one of the toughest exams in India. Speaking on similar lines, IAS officer Jitin Yadav shared a long message sharing his own experience with those aspirants who were not able to make it to the final list.

He wrote, “I was at home in Gurgaon and got to know that the result would come today. I checked the UPSC website every 15 minutes, and finally the link came. I downloaded the pdf. My heart was pumping. I opened it, started scrolling, and the list started. I did not have the courage to do Ctrl + F. I scrolled through the entire list but could not find my name. I checked it again, and it’s still the same. I did Ctrl + F, and it was confirmed that my name was not there in the holy pdf.”

Upon knowing that he had not cleared the exam, the IAS officer shared that he felt numb and confused. At that moment, he got a call from a close friend who had checked the result by then. His friend didn’t say anything and asked him to come to Karol Bagh.

He then expressed how a friend’s reassuring words offered him solace and perspective. “We sat, and he told me one thing – Whatever happens, happens for good only. We can only give our 100 percent. There are two ways ahead- one to be depressed and do nothing, and the other to immediately bounce back after a couple of days,” Jitin Yadav added.

The IAS officer further wrote that he immediately started working on his weak points. He also shared that he had a good party that night. At the end, the IAS officer expressed that we all need that friend/family in such moments of life. He also urged aspirants to never give up and be proud that they have come so far. “If you have such a friend, do support him/her in whatever way possible. If you want to write an exam again, then focus on overcoming your weakness, and if you are not writing, then take a short break, plan out things, and then take a call. Better things are waiting for you,” he suggested.
