Bengaluru Man Suggests China-Inspired Rescue Service For Traffic Jams, Sparks Debate Online
A CEO from Bengaluru wants to steal an idea from China to assist commuters deal with the city’s notorious traffic.

Bengaluru, known for its lovely weather, is also infamous for its terrible traffic bottlenecks. Locals often find themselves in a continuous loop of congestion with no end in sight. However, a Bengaluru-based CEO may have a game-changing solution to this urban dilemma. Serial entrepreneur Paras Chopra recently shared a news article showing a creative solution for stranded commuters, taking inspiration from Beijing’s inventive approach to traffic difficulties.

According to the article, in Beijing, you may pay someone $60 (about Rs 5,022) to get you out of traffic. One person will arrive at your location and pick you up on a motorbike, while another will drive your vehicle back.

Paras Chopra, who was impressed by the idea, advised on social media that Bengaluru entrepreneurs consider launching a similar service: “Bangalore founders, drop that saas idea and build this instead,” he wrote on X.

Shared on July 24, the post has attracted over 1 lakh views. The concept also provoked a lively discussion in the comment section. Paras Chopra’s concept pleased several users, but some predicted that it would never work in traffic as crazy as Bengaluru’s.

“Best startup idea,” said Debonkar, the founder of GoToGrowth.

“This would have a crazy level of PMF in Bengaluru,” Prateek Joshi, another CEO of Plutoshift AI commented.

However, some users expressed worries, such as “What happens if the bike gets stuck?”

Another person recounted his experience, stating, “I’ve done this so many times, here in Bangalore. Very fun, just book an Uber”.

A user stated, “Traffic is one reason I don’t like taking my car out unless it’s really important.”

“Indians way too price sensitive lol. Will sit in traffic 3 hrs rather than spend Rs 1000 to get rescued,” an individual joked.

What are your thoughts on this solution to city traffic congestion?

What's your reaction?
