Skype will now have some serious competition with WhatsApp introducing video calling on its Android app. Earlier, WhatsApp had introduced video calls for its Windows Phone app. However, only beta testers can use the video calling feature now as the WhatsApp hasn’t released it for the general users.
If you wish to be a tester, you can sign up here to try the video calling feature before everyone does it. However, note that both parties of the video call needs to have the updated WhatsApp beta app.
The video calling interface is simply and you can use both the front and rear cameras during the call. It is advisable to use earphones with in-line audio for video calls for better clarity.
If you can’t wait for the general availability, you sign up for the beta program. The video calling feature might take some time to arrive.
