New Delhi: Based on the reward-punishment strategy to help individuals achieve their goals, a new 'smart jar' unlocks only when you deserve the treat inside it.
Brainchild of Kitchen Safe inventors Ryan Sang and David Krippendorf, the kSafe jar can lock up goodies till the time you complete a goal which is controlled by its companion mobile app.
A report on Engadget stated that the goals can be set in three different categories- activity-based (requiring you to burn enough calories or take the stairs); location-based( you'll get the TV remote if you check in at the gym), and time-based(locks up goodies for a certain time limit)
Being launched on Kickstarter, the product is being backed by GoPro CEO Nick Woodman and Lori Greiner. Pre-order of the kSafe jar on Kickstarter will cost you as low as $79, while the consumer rollout in October will see a price tag of $129.
