After teasing it for months, Sony's FDR-X3000 action camera that's capable of 4K video recording has finally been launched by the Japanese tech giant. The company claims that the camera can reduce shake with its balanced Optical SteadyShot technology.
The action cam comes loaded with a 7.20mm Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor. This helps it to shoot in dark places with reduced noise and record 4K videos at 100 Mbps. The Sony FDR-X3000 comes with a f/2.8 aperture, a ZEISS Tessar lens and is waterproof up to 60 meter. The action camera is also shockproof and dustproof. For connectivity you get a memory card slot, micro HDMI output, multi/micro USB terminal and a stereo jack.
The camera is available in two models - FDR-X3000R and FDR-X3000. The Sony FDR-X3000R comes with Live-View Remote Kit and FDR-X3000 comes with a waterproof case. Both the models of the Sony Action cam are listed at $399 on the company’s website.
