Now You Can Use ChatGPT Without Using Your Account: How It Works
OpenAI wants more people to use the popular AI chatbot and it is allowing you to try ChatGPT without creating an account. Here's how.

OpenAI is seeing the demand for ChatGPT go up to new levels as more people seem excited to try out the popular AI chatbot. And the company is now making it easy for everyone to try out ChatGPT as the requirement to sign in using their account has been removed.

OpenAI started offering the AI chatbot to the public but only when they created an account on the platform which allows them a host of features and ways to track their chat history.

ChatGPT For All, But Why?

OpenAI is now ready to push the AI chatbot to more people, who can use ChatGPT without creating an account. It is likely that OpenAI now wants to increase the usage time of ChatGPT which helps with more learning data for the AI chatbot and people getting a closer look, even those who have stayed away all this while.

OpenAI has talked about having more than 100 million people across 185 countries using ChatGPT weekly for a host of things. Removing the need for account sign-in encourages millions more to try out the AI chatbot. But OpenAI realises the need to use data to train the AI model, which is why the company is very clear about the limitations you will have when using ChatGPT without an account sign-in.

ChatGPT Without Account Means Less Features Available

Using ChatGPT without an account does make a lot of sense but OpenAI confirms that it will continue to use their data to train the AI model, unless you decide against giving OpenAI the consent to do so.

However, the new method to use the AI chatbot will have some restrictions, which is expected when the person is using ChatGPT outside of the personalised mode. OpenAI says, these users will not be able to save their chat history that can be viewed later.

Everytime you chat and leave the platform, those chats are wiped out. OpenAI also won’t let you access benefits like voice chats with ChatGPT and customise the prompts for the AI chatbot.

And yes, sharing chats that you had with the AI chatbot is also not available to the non-account signees. As we have seen a lot, free-to-access platforms have a set of riders which is the company’s way of saying, you have the free option but to access all the features you do need to sign in.
