New Delhi: With a tremendous boost seen in the e-commerce sector in India this year, world's biggest search giant is but a proof of the same. In its end of the year list, Google has published the top ten most searched for topics in India this year and without a doubt an online shopping portal took away the cake!
Flipkart, India's largest online shopping portal, has been recorded as the most searched for on Google India search, followed second by IRCTC- the online ticketing portal of the Indian railways. Rival shopping portals Amazon and Snapdeal featured on 4th and 5th spots respectively.
Interestingly, Micromax- which is ranked among the world's top ten phone makers- was searched for the most for its subsidiary Yu's Yureka smartphone, while the newest Apple iPhone 6s was the second most searched for mobile device this year.
