Elon Musk Confirms Neuralink Accepting More Participants For Its Brain Chip Implant: Know More
The brain chip implant helps the specially-abled person to interact with the computer using their eyes and Neuralink wants more participants now.

Neuralink has managed to successfully implant its brain chip in human participants earlier and now Elon Musk says the company is ready to accept its second human implant. Musk talks about the successful story of Noland who received the brain chip implant and has been using the tech to mobilise and even play games on the computer.

“This is our Telepathy cybernetic brain implant that allows you to control your phone and computer just by thinking. No one better than Noland himself to tell you about the first,” Musk said in his post on X recently.

Neuralink aims to help people with disabilities to function normally with the use of their mind. Noland Arbaugh, the first human to be implanted with the brain chip, was recently seen in a video talking about being paralysed below the shoulders, which means, he cannot use his fingers to move the mouse that would actually help him play the game in a natural way.

The video shows the human who got the first Neuralink brain chip implant is able to play chess on his laptop, without the need for a mouse or keyboard and just using his brain.

The person with the brain chip also refers to the difference made by the technology which now enables him to do things that he wasn’t able to do for many years. He even managed to stop the music playing in the background using his mind which is really cool to say the least.

The technology mainly works through an implant called the “Link” — a device about the size of five stacked coins that is placed inside the human brain through invasive surgery. The device is designed to connect human brains directly to computers.

The company’s aim is to connect human brains to computers and it wants to help tackle complex neurological conditions. Telepathy would enable “control of your phone or computer, and through them almost any device, just by thinking”, according to Musk.

There is a lot of excitement and concerns in equal measures about the implant in the brain because the nervous system could behave randomly which doesn’t bode well for the company. So it is imperative these human implants are done with thorough checks and making sure that no major side effects are caused to the patients.
