New Delhi: Apple fans in India rejoice. The tech giant has confirmed that its newest iPhones- iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in the country starting October 16.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in India, Malaysia and Turkey on October 16 and in over 130 countries by the end of the year.
Apple has sold over 13 million iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus units, setting a new record, in just three days of launch.
The new iPhones differ only slightly in terms of design as compared to the predecessor iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. However, they pack more RAM and better processors.
They iPhones come with 3D Touch a new feature that reduces the number of taps and scrolls by making the screen more interactive.
A recent iFixit teardown of the new iPhones revealed that the iPhone 6s gets 2GB of RAM but a mere 1,715mAh battery, lesser than the predecessor with 1,810mAh battery.
Although the date of launch has been announced, Apple is yet to announce the pricing of the new iPhones.
With the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Apple has introduced a new Rose Gold variant to its existing Gold, Silver, Space Gray colour choices.
