New Delhi: On a day when the Supreme Court is set to hear petitions over whether the Vyapam scam probe should be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met the family of journalist Akshay Singh who mysteriously died while covering the scam.

The MP CM has assured Akshay's family of an unbiased investigation into his death. "This family has lost everything. My mission now is that truth on his death comes out. I will request for CBI probe into the case. We are with the family. We have offered their sister a job," he said.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Wednesday met the family members of deceased journalist at his Mayur Vihar residence. While extending support to the family, Kejriwal offered a government job to Akshay Singh's sister.

Both the leaders expressed their deep condolences at the demise of the journalist. They promised all possible help to the family. "We are united in grief with the family of the late journalist Akshay Singh. We offered to help the family financially as well," Sisodia said.
