Vasundhara Raje keeps suspense over quitting post
Raje on Thursday asserted she had no plans to leave Rajasthan.

Jaipur: Amid suspense over Vasundhara Raje quitting the post of Leader of the Opposition, the senior BJP leader on Thursday asserted she had no plans to leave Rajasthan and would continue to serve people of the state "post or no post".

"I have no plan to leave Rajasthan. Post or no post, I will always live (here), love and take care of people of Rajasthan without hurting sentiments of the party," she told reporters while sitting on dharna outside the state assembly.

Raje has been asked by the party high-command to step down from the post in the wake of BJP's poor performance in the Lok Sabha and assembly polls.

"I have built up good relationship with the people of the state during my five-year tenure as Chief Minister. So I will be always there to serve them," she said.

Raje, however, declined to comment on whether she would resign from the post.

To a question, she said her relations with RSS are cordial and friendly. "My relations with RSS are cordial and reports of any difference with RSS are completely baseless," she said.

Criticising the performance of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, she said during the eight months of his tenure the state was in a sorry state of affairs.

"When I took charge as CM, the state was reeling under various problem, but I met the challenges and changed the situation in the first three years. But, see what has happened in the last eight months," Raje added.
