New Delhi: Former Railways Minister and RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav asked his successor Mamata Banerji to clarify on the accounting system she followed to prepare the Railway Budget for this year on Wednesday.
"We want to know what is the accounting system on which Union Minister Mamata Banerjee is presenting her Railway budget," said Yadav.
"She had raised question on my accounting in my railway budget. So has she developed any new accounting system or she is using my figures, used in my previous budget on which she raised questioned," asked Lalu.
Mamata had criticised Lalu for misinforming people on the figures of railways' earning during his tenure as the Railways Minister in the previous UPA government.
She had alleged that Lalu had resorted to creative accounting terms to inflate revenue and profits of the Indian railways.
