Re-poll ordered in two booths in West Bengal

Kolkata: Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quaraishi on Thursday ordered re-poll in one booth each in North 24 Parganas and Kolkata.

Re-poll will be held on Friday in booth number 67 in Ashoknagar assembly constituency in North 24 Parganas and booth no 27-A in Beliaghata in Kolkata, officials said.

While EVM was not placed properly at the booth in Ashoknagar, discrepancy was found in the number of voters in the electoral roll and the number of electorates in the EVM at the booth Beliaghata, they said.
