Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a rally in Jhansi said that the Narendra Modi government is "not afraid of atom bombs"

Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is “not afraid of atom bombs” in an apparent jibe to Congress leader  Mani Shankar Aiyar “India should respect Pakistan because it has atom bomb” remark. The Home Minister further stressed that Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) “belongs to India and we will take it back”.

“Their (Congress) greed for the vote bank has burgeoned to the extent that Mani Shankar Aiyar, one of their leaders has asked us not to talk about the PoK. He is saying that Pakistan has atom bombs and we should not demand our rights over the PoK. I want to tell you that this is the Narendra Modi government and we are not afraid of atom bombs. PoK belongs to India and we will take it back,” he said at an election rally in Jhansi on Saturday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also said on Saturday that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) will become part of India within six months of Prime Minister Narendra Modi assuming the office for the third time.

While addressing an election rally in Maharashtra’s Palghar, UP CM stated that it has become difficult for Pakistan to save PoK.

“We will not worship our enemy. If someone kills our people we will not worship them but give them an answer that they deserve. It has become difficult for Pakistan to save Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Let PM Modi become the Prime Minister for the third time and within six months PoK will become part of India…” he said.

On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, referring to protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir had said “PoK is part of India and we will take it”.

“After the abrogation of Article 370 by the government in 2019 peace has returned to Kashmir. But now we witness protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Earlier slogans of Azadi were heard here, now the same slogans are heard in PoK. Earlier stones were pelted here, now stones are pelted in PoK,” he had said, addressing a rally in Serampore.
