Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi reached out West Bengal's industry leaders on Tuesday during his address at the three chambers of commerce in Kolkata, while hitting out at the United Progressive Alliance government for allegedly ignoring development and being biased against the non-Congress ruled states.
"The UPA government is afraid of looking at development projects, there is no development work that is on. Bengal is also being discriminated against like Gujarat," said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, who addressed FICCI and Network 18's Think India Dialogue on Monday in New Delhi, said.
In a frontal attack, Modi accused the Central government of being "inactive" and ignoring the development projects. "The central machinery is on a standstill. The UPA govt is not looking at the calendar. They are looking at the clock, waiting to see what happens now," Modi lashed out.
