27. Mungeli is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Bilaspur Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Mungeli falls in Mungeli district and North region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,26,498 voters in the seat, which includes 1,15,894 male voters, and 1,10,602 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Mungeli recorded a voter turnout of 69.54%. In 2013 the turnout was 71.27%, and in 2008 it was 63.9%.
In 2013, Punnulal Mohle of BJP won the seat by a margin of 2,745 votes (1.87%). Punnulal Mohle secured 41.58% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 10,325 votes (8.98%), registering 45.29% of the total votes polled.
